Multi-lingual TYPO3 Sites

TYPO3 is natively capable of delivering content in multiple languages, whether each language has its own page tree or shares a common tree. Editing permissions make it easy to assign tasks to translators, who can see the default content alongside their translation as they work.

When a page or content item is not translated, the editor can specify whether the default language is shown or the content is hidden. Menus are adjusted automatically and, to enhance search engine optimization, language specific page names can be created.

Example multi-lingual TYPO3 sites include:

Condor Airlines

Condor Airlines, part of the Thomas Cook travel group, uses TYPO3 to deliver localized content to nine regions and languages.

Dassault Systemes

Dassault Systemes is an innovative software producer in the 3D and PLM markets. Their TYPO3 web site serves content for 32 regions and languages. Dassault Systemmes is an early TYPO3 adopter, and have contributed much back to further enhance TYPO3's rich capabilities.

Alternative content is delivered to logged-in users, depending upon their relationship to the company.
