TYPO3 for Non-profits

Non-profits and NGOs (non governmental organizations) recognize TYPO3 as an excellent choice for building their web sites. Not only is TYPO3 a free open source system, it also has the capabilities needed for their diverse requirements.

Example sites include:

Carnegie.org is built with TYPO3.

In their centennial year the Carnegie Corporation launched their new web site built with TYPO3. It uses TYPO3 features including News, RSS Feeds, and file downloads. Users can search a database to learn more about over 10,000 grants awarded.

The Berlin Philharmic Orchestra depends upon TYPO3.

Berlin's Philharmonic Orchestra depends on TYPO3 to manage its extensive multi-language web site. It includes news and calendar extensions and is constantly updated to deliver fresh content.

Doctors Without Borders uses TYPO3 for their Canadian site.

For international NGOs TYPO3 is becoming the content management system of choice. Canada's Doctors Without Borders site is a case in point. The site includes adaptable text sizes, RSS feeds, and multiple languages.

An private intranet is incorporated, as well as blogs, bulletin boards and podcasts.

The Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center joins seven institutions in the battle against cancer. Their web site is built with TYPO3 and includes news, calendars and email newsletters. Over fifty people contribute to the site and their efforts are managed by TYPO3's backend user and group controls. Front end access is enabled for users from all seven institutions through a custom extension, so users only have to remember a single password.
