Faster Technology Opens Ecommerce Site
Monday, August 10, 2009Faster Technology LLC, of Katy, TX offers a complete line of programmable PCI FPGA cards and the technical training to turn them into customized high speed processing systems. FTL wanted a web site that they could edit themselves and could be optimized for search engines, plus E commerce capabilities to sell both physical product and courses online.
Faster Technology (FTL) selected TYPO3 as their CMS of choice after an extensive search. Advance Web Marketing (AWM) configured the TYPO3 system to include a calendar listing FTL's courses. TYPO3's user registration system allows access to documentation for both customers and prospects.
The E commerce system selected was Varien's Magento open source package. Using the open source version, AWM set up the store to handle both physical products, which require shipping, and courses for which there are finite numbers of seats available. Many customers have training credits available to reduce training costs, and the Magento system handles that.
AWM installed the TypoGento bridge to join TYPO3 and Magento. TypoGento incorporates Magento store pages within TYPO3's structure and shares store customers with TYPO3's front end user registration system.
